My Super Bowl Favorite Snack Recipes!

Ok so smack me upside the head NOW....I seriously had NO CLUE the #SuperBowl was this weekend until I was looking for recipes for the blog and all these 'what are your favorite snacks for Superbowl Sunday?' recipes popped up in my google search!!! SEE what happens when my Steelers aren't in it, I don't pay any attention! Either way I am ALWAYS a TRUE #SteelerGirl!! 



Sooooo in the spirit of Super Bowl Sunday only being days away {even though my boys aren't in it!} I wanted to share my  3 favorite snacks/appetizers with you! 

First up is.....my *Skinny Buffalo Chicken Dip*

-2 cans of 95% Fat Free Canned Chicken (shredded)
-8 oz. of Greek Cream cheese
-1/2 cup of Frank's Red Hot
-1 TBLSP for WildTree's Blazin' Buffalo Seasoning
-1 cup Fat Free Ranch Dressing
- 1 1/2 cups of Fat Free Shredded Cheddar Cheese
*Mix all ingredients (only 1/2 of the cheese) in a sauce pan, bring to a boil, once finished garnish with the remaining cheese and serve with yummy BLUE Tortilla Chips!*





2nd in my top 3 is.....*Mini Tacos*

-Won ton wrappers in muffin tins filled with taco seasoned turkey meat, fat free cheddar cheese & bake for 8 minutes at 350. Top with favorite taco toppings! ..yum!



AND 3rd on the list is......*Zucchini Pizza Boats* OHHHH YES, they are deliciously healthy!

Sayyyy WHAT???



Sayyyyyy WHAT?!? You don't like drinking water??? 

Ok soooooo I know water is not #1 on everyone's list of favorite things to drink.....I never used to drink water until I started to see what GREAT things came from drinking it daily and cutting out the *bad* sugary drinks!! Let me just tell you water is the most important thing you can drink and put into your body!!!

Just to name a few benefits you get from drinking water daily.....
-assists in weightloss!
-prevents loss of memory!
-helps reduce urges/cravings!
-it is essential to help your body rid itself of toxins!
-slows the aging process and much much MORE!!!

So now that you know all of those fun little facts ------ do you know how much water you should be drinking each day?? This may surprise you (It surprised me!) but the recommended daily water intake is 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water each day!! For example: if you weighed 150 lbs you would need to be drinking 75 oz of water per day!

Just call me the -BLOG SLACKER-

Ok soooooo I have totally slacked with keeping you updated with my P90 thoughts and progress and I apologize! Life has been crazy with a full time job, practically a full time Beachbody Coaching business AND trying to sell our current home and build a new one!!! {HOLY MOLY it really is alot when I write it out!} BUT even with all of that it's not an excuse and I am SORRY.....this week is my last FULL week of P90 and I cannot wait to share my results & review with you!!! In the mean time.......



I did it I completed 90 days of P90!!!

The PERFECT Home Gym!

Ok so I think sometimes we over think the words ------ 'home gym'! I feel like we think need all this high tech equipment, when really you just need a few basic things that you can find pretty much anywhere and store easily in your house!! 

Here are my suggestions of the 5 essential things for you to create your own little, perfect home gym! 

1. Resistance Bands: 

Resistance bands come in all different sizes, I would suggest having 2-3 sizes/ranges of resistance so that you can change it up a little for different exercises. Also you want to make sure the bands you buy come with a door attachment so that you can attach the bands to a door hinge and be able to have more exercise options!! 


2. Stability Ball: 

Stability balls are great for targeting every muscle group ------ your abs, back, chest, arms, thighs, legs, and buns. You an use it with or without weights, whatever you would prefer! 


3. Dumbbells: 

I would suggest having 2-3 sets of weights ranging from 5-10 lbs. Having more options with weights allows you to try out different exercises to challenge your muscles with lighter and heavier weight! 


4. Exercise Mat (s): 


Exercise mats/flooring are a necessity, even if you do have carpet where you will be working out. Having the extra cushion is essential to help with relieving the the pressure on your joints when you are doing alot of high impact exercises (i.e., jumping and plank holds). 


5. Lastly.....Foam Roller: 

A foam roller is a GREAT piece of equipment to have to massage your worn-out and/or sore muscles. AND you can also incorporate a foam roller into some of your daily exercises!! 

This is my list of TOP 5 Essential Items to create your perfect at home gym, I hope they help you out and show you that you don't need high tech things such as a barbell or squat rack just to get a good workout in at home!!

Shakeology = Better than Friday!

Did you know that your diet/nutrition is 80% of your success?!? Crazy huh?! Not really ---> working out is great but if you are not incorporating a healthy balanced diet you are wasting you're time!!! Say this with me: You can not out work a poor diet!' 

But this stuff right here, {Reese Peanut Butter Cup in my cup} to me, it's better than Friday!!! {Yes I just said that!!} 



 {Reese Peanut Butter Shakeology}
- 1 packet/serving of Vegan Chocolate Shakeology
- 1/2 cup Almond Milk

- 1 bottle (16.9oz) of water
- 1 tsp of PB2 powder
- 12 pieces of ice 
* Blend and ENJOY!!*

Shakeology is literally my 1 stop shop with over 70 superfoods/nutrients/antioxidants and 9 servings of fruits & veggies in one serving AND it's all natural!!!! You cannot go wrong here!!!

I'd take #Shakeology over fast food anyday! This is my fast food!

Beachbody Coaching = LIFE CHANGING!


With the new year only days away ((HOLY COW!!!)) I feel compelled to share my Beachbody/Beachbody Coaching journey with you and let you know that YOU CAN DO THIS too!!! 

Sooooooo let’s rewind 2 yrs ago…..I was one of those people that had ZERO desire to put the work in but wanted the results and I wanted them FAST!! At this time I weighed 132 lbs., now I know that may not seem like much to some, but on my 5’2 frame it wasn’t good and I wasn’t happy with myself! I was what I would like to call ‘skinny fat’ everything looked OK because I was able to hide behind flowy or baggy shirts but I absolutely dreaded bathing suit season or wearing anything form fitting because I was very uncomfortable and hated the way I looked and felt. Like I said I wanted results but had no desire to do the work to get them so I tried a few different diet pills & meal replacement shakes that worked got myself down to about 120 lbs. BUT they made me extremely miserable and tired and once I made the choice to not take them anymore…..welcome back about 5 lbs.!! Next up, I joined Planet Fitness with my friend, we were going to go 3-5 times a week and make changes together, that quickly flopped because our schedules never worked out and when we did get to go together we were clueless as to what to do so we’d play around and walk/run on the treadmill or the elliptical….we went on with this for a few weeks and I saw NO results because: 
1. I was not doing the correct things at the gym and 
2. I didn’t change anything about my eating habits….so I got frustrated and I quit! I sat around frustrated for a few months doing nothing and still eating what I was eating until I finally decided it was ENOUGH with the excuses if I wanted the results I was going to have to put in the work to get them, I promised myself that I was going to do it and I believed I could do it! That is when I joined a local fitness center that offered group fitness classes, such as zumba, bootcamp, body pump and a few others, this was GREAT to me because I loved all of these things and being in a group setting actually motivated me even more, or so I thought, here I was busting my butt with working out and I actually changed my eating habits and still no MAJOR results that I was hoping for! I so badly wanted to just give up, but then a lady in my bootcamp class was talking about T25 and how she LOVED it so we started chatting about it and she said that my husband and I could borrow it from her when she was done if we wanted! I was so excited I went home and showed my husband the infomercial and was like ‘Will you please do this with me? I think it will really work!’, needless to say he wasn’t thrilled and he agreed ONLY because: 
1. he wanted to support me and 
2. because he wanted to PROVE the workout program wrong and that it didn’t work like they said it would! Either way I was so excited to just start something that I really thought was going to work, at this point I was fluctuating in weight between 120 lbs. and 118 lbs. When I got the T25 workouts from my friend at the gym I vowed that we were going to change our eating habits and become very strict and that is just what we did, my husband to my shock was 100% on board, I learned in my bootcamp class all about meal prepping and I started prepping our lunches/dinners for the week for us and we started the T25 workouts together….fast forward 10 wks. and I was FLOORED at my results, NO I didn’t lose a ton of weight because I really didn't need to lose a lot but in 10 wks. I lost 5 lbs. AND totally toned and defined my body like NEVER before and Mr. I Want to Prove T25 wrong……well he got proved wrong because he lost 25 lbs. in the 10 wks. with being strict with our eating and the T25 workouts!! ALL this time while I was doing the workouts and posting little things here and there about what we were doing, my coach Allison would message me and ask me to join her challenge group and I would politely say ‘no thanks’…..I’d say this happened at least 3 times….Allison NEVER gave up on me not once because she seen something in me that she wasn’t willing to give up on and I am thankful for her everyday! 

So now that I had FINALLY got the results I had wanted and practically shared my LOVE of T25 with every person I knew, I told my husband, ‘I think I want to be a coach, I think I’m ready to do it now!’ he said to me, ‘whatever you want to do babes I’m behind you 100%’, well that was all I needed to hear! I messaged Allison first thing the next morning and was like ‘I’m ready to be a coach, what do I need to do?’…..I’m pretty sure her mouth dropped to the floor at that point but she guided me through it and I ordered a workout program and Shakeology and I was ready to share these amazing products with EVERYONE!! I dove in HEAD FIRST into coaching, I was excited about it and ready to get started….I started out by following some of the top coaches and I’d just try to mirror their posts but with my own little twist to it and I did this day in and day out with my motivational posts daily and sharing my workouts/shakeology and what it was doing for me and to my SURPRISE all my consistency had paid off and people started REALLY responding to it! I became an Emerald coach about a month in a half into coaching and I got Success Club every month since I’ve been a coach which is so GREAT because I got Success Starters and earned a FREE ticket to the 2015 Summit!!! AND I don’t think there has been a week, except my 1st week that I didn’t get a paycheck from Beachbody! 

As Beachbody coaches we are always asked what our WHY is and to dig deep to find it, once we find it share it!! Well I have shared mine so many times and it’s not any easier each time but one thing it does do is show people that we are REAL people and it helps them relate to us! My WHY goes a little something like this…..I was ALWAYS that fun loving, bubbly girl all through high school. I was a cheerleader and had a great family life, from the outside looking in it seemed perfect and to be honest it was until I found myself in an abusive relationship that I lived with for 4 yrs., bad friendships and then I found myself as a college drop out!! I just didn’t like the path my life was going down and I knew I needed a change! I looked around one day and said to myself ‘this is not the way my story is going to end, there is something bigger and better out there for me’ , once I decided to take control of my life and live it for ME and not someone else, things totally turned around for me! I met a wonderful guy, who is now my husband, I have completely cut negativity and negative people out of my life ad I have the most amazing husband, family and friends in my life that support me no matter what craziness I get myself into and that’s all that matters and all I need to keep me going! 

I used to be one of the non believers, I borrowed my 1st Beachbody program because I didn’t want to spend the money on it because I didn’t think it would work! But it’s crazy how things turn out and I truly believe that I am RIGHT where I am supposed to be at this moment in my life! So YES I have been in your shoes, I know how it feels to be uncomfortable in your own skin and be afraid of change BUT this was the BEST change/chance I have ever made and I wouldn't change it for the world! 

Don’t EVER just settle, if you want something go out and get it and make it happen, you can do anything you truly put your mind to! And don’t EVER be afraid to DREAM BIG, REAL BIG!!! I know I am dreaming BIG! I never ever ever thought I’d be sharing my personal life with you and the social media world but I couldn’t be happier that I took that JUMP and made the decision to join Beachbody!! I am grateful everyday for my friend at the gym that let me borrow her T25 and for Allison who NEVER gave up on me!! I am BY FAR no fitness or nutrition specialist but I know what has worked for me and it started with Beachbody products, I have never in my life been so confident & happy with ME! And I WILL do whatever it takes to share it with and help as many people as I possibly can because EVERYONE should have a chance to experience the AWESOMENESS of Beachbody!

P90 Week #6 Update: Thoughts & Progress {and a little bit of meal prep!}


OK so I finished Week #6!!! I cannot believe that I am already on week #6 of P90!!! Crazy how time flies when you are having fun! 

I want to address something really quickly because I have been hearing this ALOT lately.....'she is so lucky to have that body', 'you are so lucky to have all that energy', 'he is so lucky to have those muscles'......and I could go on and on and on!!! Let me just say this >>>>>>> The things that happen in your life don't happen by the 'magic' of LUCK or lack there of, they happen because of the work you are putting in to make them happen! We make our own luck! That girl didn't get that body, I didn't get my energy and that guy didn't get his muscles by pure luck.....we worked our A** of for it!! Ask yourself right now today, are you putting in the work (no matter what the end goal is) to reach your goals and get results? 

Month #2 of P90 is still kicking my butt and I LOVE it!!! My body changes daily and I worked up enough guts this week to share a little progress pic with ya >>>>

(I am finally HAPPY with the way my stomach looks!!)

This progress pic has been a long time coming, 7 months to be exact! I have been working my butt off and I can finally say that I am happy with the way my stomach looks! Has it been easy??? HELL NO!!! Has it been worth it??? YES, very worth it!!! 

I finally kicked myself outta whatever little *funk* I was in the past few weeks and really kicked butt this week with my workouts and my eating, but then the dreaded FLU BUG hit our house, thankfully it only lasted about 2 days {thanks to Shakeology!} and I didn't have to miss a workout!!! 



AND THEN the AMAZING InsanityMax30 was delivered on my doorstep this week!!! I was so excited that in honor of the new program and receiving it we totally had to try it out!!! INSANE it sure is but I loved it and there is a modifier too, so when you reach your max out point you can totally follow her lead or take the break you need! This program WANTS you to MAX OUT the point is to push you further than you EVER thought you'd go! 
My momma always taught me to finish what I start so I WILL be finishing P90 and when I am finished >>>>> I am coming for you ShaunT!!! 

Sooooo excited!!!



Ohhhhh we definitely #MAXEDOUT!!



All in all I had a really GREAT week and it starts with me setting myself up for SUCCESS, not failure, by planning & prepping my husband and I's meals for the week!!! It's so easy to get off track if you don't have a meal at your fingertips to grab, you'll end up grabbing some sort of fast food and regret it later! So as promised, here is a little glimpse into my Sunday meal prepping!!!












One thing that I have NEVER claimed is that we eat a 100% clean diet! We eat a semi-clean diet and that's what works for us! I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to chicken and it MUST have some sort of breading on it for me to eat it.....these Perdue Gluten Free, Natural Chicken Tenders (can be found at Giant Eagle or Walmart) were a GREAT find for me!!! They are so yummy and good for me! Now for my hubby I found these trusty little John Soules Food All Natural, Gluten Free Chicken Fajitas strips (can be found at Sam's Club),  and I also add a baked potato into his meals each day, he's not too picky about food so he will eat whatever I make for him!  Sooooooo then I buy a BIG bag of broccoli (can be found at Sam's Club), cook it up and put a 1 cup serving in each of our meals! I make enough lunches and dinners for the both of us for 5 days! That gets us through the work week and keeps us on track since we drink Shakeology daily for breakfast! This may not be the RIGHT way to do it but it is what works for us, I am not spending tons and tons of hours cooking each week, we stay on track and we are losing & maintaing our weight all while eating healthy! Lastly did you know that 2 out of 3 adults are overweight? WOW that's a scary statistic to me!! I struggled BIG TIME the last 2 weeks when it came to my healthy eating and I've been in some sort of funk ad I don't know why, but that ALL stops today!! I am giving myself a good kick in the A** and back on track I go!! I am all planned/prepped and ready to take this week on STRONG!

Started my day off right with my favorite Vegan Tropial Strawberry Shakeology! It's easy, quick and ohhhhh sooooo delicious!! 



Recipe: 
*1 packet/scoop Vegan Tropical Strawberry Shakeology
*1 Bottle of flavored water (I prefer Orange)
*1/4 cup of Original Silk Almond Milk
*about 12 pieces of ice, blend and ENJOY!!

P90 Week #4 & Week #5 Update: Thoughts & Progress

SOOOOO I hope you ALL had a GREAT Thanksgiving Holiday!!! Sorry this is coming to you so late and a week behind, BUT >>>>>

<<<<< the last 2 weeks have been crazy busy around here!! With hosting Thanksgiving for our 1st time EVER, work and the day in-day outs of life, it's been hectic to say the least! And let me tell you it HAS NOT been easy getting my workouts in and sticking to my nutrition, that's for sure! I may have slip ups sometimes but I will not let a busy life let those old/bad habits creep back into my life and ruin all my hardwork!!



With that being said let's get into my FINAL week (week #4/Month #1) of P90....2 words, NOT EASY!! I was in a FUNK for some reason, not sure what it was but I did get my workouts in everyday, some days were much harder to get it done than others but thankfully with my 'accountability partner in crime' by my side it made it much easier on the tough days to push myself! I ALWAYS say how important it is to have accountability and support and this week for me proved that to be TRUE!!

**I DID IT!!! I finished my 1st month of P90 and I couldn't be happier!!**


I was soooooo excited to be starting my Month #2/Week #5 of P90! I am absolutely LOVING this workout program! The incorporation of weights, cardio and full body workouts is very challenging and I am hooked!! I definitely had a LOVE/HATE relationship with Tony Horton this past week >>>> Month #2 definitely takes it up a notch, it's been awhile since a workout program made me sore for an entire week and P90 accomplished that this past week!!! It was another tough week for me and I struggled (I think it's this crappy weather....I need some SUN in my life!) but I didn't use it as an excuse to take a break or slack off! No matter how I felt I got my workout done and gues what??? I ALWAYS felt better afterwards! 



I am not one to sugar coat things for others and I am even harder on myself so here it is......even though I got my workouts in no matter what, I totally struggled with my eating!!! With Thanksgiving, hecticness of the holidays and stress it was rough! I did NOT go overboard but I definitely indulged more than I would've liked over the past 2 weeks!! I have not gained any weight (ALL thanks to my savior ----> Shakeology!), thankfully but I just don't feel GOOD, I feel tired, bloated and just BLAH and I am not liking it at all!!

It is time to kick my own A** outta this little funk I am in and *suck it up buttercup*!! I am done with feeling crappy like I have the past 2 weeks and I am going ALL in from here on out! Christmas is coming and I am setting myself up for success for 2015!! 

Meal planning and prepping for this week took place today (blog coming soon on that!) and I am ready to take this week head on!! Sometimes it gets tough and it's not always pretty but when you feel like throwing in the towel (I felt that way a few times over the past 2 weeks) remember WHY you started on this journey and let that be your driving force to KEEP GOING and NEVER GIVE UP!
