The PERFECT Home Gym!

Ok so I think sometimes we over think the words ------ 'home gym'! I feel like we think need all this high tech equipment, when really you just need a few basic things that you can find pretty much anywhere and store easily in your house!! 

Here are my suggestions of the 5 essential things for you to create your own little, perfect home gym! 

1. Resistance Bands: 

Resistance bands come in all different sizes, I would suggest having 2-3 sizes/ranges of resistance so that you can change it up a little for different exercises. Also you want to make sure the bands you buy come with a door attachment so that you can attach the bands to a door hinge and be able to have more exercise options!! 


2. Stability Ball: 

Stability balls are great for targeting every muscle group ------ your abs, back, chest, arms, thighs, legs, and buns. You an use it with or without weights, whatever you would prefer! 


3. Dumbbells: 

I would suggest having 2-3 sets of weights ranging from 5-10 lbs. Having more options with weights allows you to try out different exercises to challenge your muscles with lighter and heavier weight! 


4. Exercise Mat (s): 


Exercise mats/flooring are a necessity, even if you do have carpet where you will be working out. Having the extra cushion is essential to help with relieving the the pressure on your joints when you are doing alot of high impact exercises (i.e., jumping and plank holds). 


5. Lastly.....Foam Roller: 

A foam roller is a GREAT piece of equipment to have to massage your worn-out and/or sore muscles. AND you can also incorporate a foam roller into some of your daily exercises!! 

This is my list of TOP 5 Essential Items to create your perfect at home gym, I hope they help you out and show you that you don't need high tech things such as a barbell or squat rack just to get a good workout in at home!!
